One problem, start to finish: a painful lump behind the ankle
A patient came in with a firm, growing mass behind the heel — painful in shoes, worrying to look at. MRI told the story: a fluid-filled ganglion cyst sitting against the heel bone, exactly matching the visible lump.
Diagnosis made, the treatment was a brief in-office procedure: the cyst was excised at its source. The patient walked the same day.
